Revision for every DT subject
Notes, practice, exam skills, checklists and worksheets for SQA / QS National 5 and Higher, plus help with careers, college and university. Choose a subject to start.
Classroom tools
Put questions up on the board for pupils to answer on mini whiteboards. Nothing is collected: no logins and no pupil data.
Learning & Teaching tools
Show-me boards, an AI learning intention and success criteria writer, pose-pause-pounce-bounce, timers, random groups and QR codes for any subject. Share it with colleagues.
Show-me boards Trial
Pupils draw or type on their iPads and you see every board live. Show one on the projector, send a question or diagram to every board, or call pens down. Nothing is saved, and the room closes when you end it.
Show-me boards only work on mrkellydt.co.uk. Open Teacher there to start one.
4-phase lesson
Run a lesson on the board in the school's four phases: starter (this topic, a recent one and an older one), learning intention and success criteria, presentation, practice, then a plenary that revisits the success criteria with an exit ticket.
Projector questions now have Pause (thinking time), Pounce and Bounce buttons, using your class list from the pupil picker.
Learning intention and success criteria
Pick a topic and tick what this lesson covers. The learning intention says what is being learned (know, understand, be able to); the success criteria say what evidence you are looking for ("I can…"). Built from the checklist statements.
Course coverage and starters
Tick off topics as you teach them. The starter, exit tickets and printable sets use your ticked topics.
Projector mode
Step through a topic's questions full screen. Pupils answer on whiteboards, then you reveal the answer.
Keys: Space or → reveal, then next · ← back · T timer · Esc exit
Diagram reveal
Put a notes diagram on the board with its labels hidden, then reveal them one at a time.
Simulation on the board
Demonstrate a simulation full screen and ask "what happens if…?"
Pupil picker and timer
First names stay on this computer only. One name per line.
Ready-to-print resources built from the site's notes and question bank.
Question sets and papers use the topics ticked in Course coverage.
QR codes
A QR code that opens a topic (or this subject) on pupils' phones. Put it on a slide or worksheet.
Practice
Short activities to make the facts stick. Start with your Daily 5.
Exam skills
Knowing the content is half of it. These activities practise what actually earns marks.
Calculation practice
New numbers every time. Answers within 2% count, so rounding is fine. You can type 4.7k for 4700.
Put it in order
Use the arrows to move each step. Then check your order.
Flashcards
Flip the card, then be honest: did you know it?
Cards you mark Not yet come back today. Cards you get right come back after 1, 3, 7, 14 and then 30 days. Saved on this device.
Quiz
Exam practice
Answer in the box first, then open the marking guidance. Questions are written in the style of SQA papers from 2018 to 2025; "Similar in" shows where SQA asked something like it.
Printable worksheets
One worksheet for every topic, in three steps. Each one opens as a PDF in a new tab, ready to print or save. Answers are separate, so you can hand out worksheets without them.
Folio help
Common mistakes
Each year SQA's examiners report where candidates were not awarded marks. These are the headlines from the reports for the current course, with what to do instead.
